Our supplementary terms provide extra clarity on delivery, guarantee, cancellations and complaints, in addition to the Webshop Keurmerk General Terms. These additional conditions come into effect on 1 November 2013 (Updated 2024), based on Article 18 of the General Terms and Conditions.[cite: 3]

1. Repeal of Duty

Since the products of A & A Artistics are perishable, the right of withdrawal is excluded. Furthermore, sending a photo prior to or after the delivery of the ordered items is not possible, in accordance with article 8.2.d. of the General Terms and Conditions.[cite: 3]

2. Order Confirmation

An order is definitively placed after going through the ordering process, agreeing to the terms and conditions, choosing a payment method, and the message on the screen that the order is placed, followed by a confirmation e-mail to the completed e-mail address. The order number is mentioned in this e-mail.[cite: 3]

3. Delivery Policy

By placing an order, the buyer agrees to the following delivery policy:[cite: 3]

  • Delivery Process: Our florists are sustainably certified and deliver orders according to the most efficient delivery route. It is not possible for the florist or delivery person to contact the recipient before delivery or to deliver at a specific time.[cite: 3]
  • Recipient Not Home: If the recipient is not home and does not respond to the doorbell, the florist/delivery person will attempt to deliver the order to a neighbor. If this is also not possible, the order will be returned to the flower shop.[cite: 3]
  • Notification: In both cases, the florist/delivery person will always leave a note in the recipient’s mailbox, including the florist’s contact details. The recipient is requested to contact the florist to arrange pick-up or a new delivery attempt.[cite: 3]
  • Delivery Responsibility: The buyer agrees that the florist may deliver to a neighbor. The recipient is then responsible for collecting the order. If delivery to a neighbor is not possible, the recipient must pick up the order from the florist or the designated parcel service location.[cite: 3]
  • Signatures: It is not customary in the Netherlands for recipients to sign for flowers. No signature or photo is required for a delivery to be considered complete. Even if a credit card company requests proof of signature, the buyer acknowledges this is not a requirement.[cite: 3]
  • Special Locations: For deliveries to hospitals, companies, institutions, refugee shelters, or campsites, the order will be delivered to the reception desk, which will handle further distribution.[cite: 3]

4. Delivery Timeframe & Separate Deliveries

During peak periods, deliveries may take place in the evening or the following day. Our Track & Trace service is a free courtesy service, and no rights can be derived from its status updates. For selected gift items, products may be delivered separately via a parcel service if logistics require it.[cite: 3]

5. Delays & Cancellations

The purchaser acknowledges that delayed delivery does not entitle them to a cancellation or refund.[cite: 3]

Cancellations: Only possible for orders within the Netherlands and at least 24 hours before the delivery date via the contact form. Cancellation costs are 20% of the order amount (minimum of € 10.00).[cite: 3]

6. Replacement Policy

To ensure freshness, flowers may be replaced with similar flowers of equal or higher value. The vase may differ from the image due to availability. For single-variety bouquets (e.g., roses), if the type is unavailable, a different color will be substituted.[cite: 3]

7. Amendments

After the conclusion of the agreement, you can only submit changes that do not affect the total amount and only if the order has not yet been processed. Changes must be made through the contact form on our website.[cite: 3]

8. Force Majeur

A & A Artistics BV is not obliged to fulfill any obligation if prevented by circumstances not due to fault (Force Majeur), including external causes like strikes. During such periods, obligations may be suspended.[cite: 3]

9. Compliance & Guarantee

Compliance Procedure: Quality complaints must be submitted in writing to wecare@flowers.nl within 14 days of the delivery date. The consumer may be asked to show the bouquet to the delivering florist.[cite: 3]

Guarantee: A & A Artistics BV offers a vase warranty of 7 (seven) days. This lapses if the goods are used for other purposes or treated incorrectly.[cite: 3]

10. Liability and Reservation of Rights

We reserve the right to change product information and prices. Obvious mistakes or errors are not binding. We do not accept liability for damages resulting from actions based on information from our website.[cite: 3]

11. Payment & Intellectual Property

Orders can be paid via iDeal, Paypal, and credit card. All texts, photographs, and graphic material are owned by A&A Artistics BV and protected by copyright law. Reproduction without express written permission is prohibited.[cite: 3]

Frequently Asked Questions About Supplementary Terms & Conditions

The delivery driver will try to leave the flowers with neighbors whenever possible. A note will always be left in the mailbox explaining where the flowers were delivered or whether the bouquet was returned to the florist.
No, florists follow the most efficient delivery route. Because of this, we cannot guarantee exact delivery times or arrange telephone contact before delivery.
No, in the Netherlands it is not common practice to sign for flower deliveries. The order is considered successfully delivered without a signature.
We offer a 7-day vase guarantee, provided the flowers are properly cared for according to the included care instructions.
